1000 Strong Overcoming Obstacles 5K/10K

Restoration House Ministries' trail race features permanent structures, pop up challenges, and mud pits that will not only give you a great work out but also satisfy that inner desire to OVERCOME! These same obstacles that will be used for health, well-being and competition will be a symbol of how we can overcome all of our obstacles with God's love working though our community. And in doing so, you will be supporting young women & men in overcoming their obstacles of trauma, abuse and addictions and helping put the homeless in our community on a path to restoration.

Sleep in and skip the lines on race day! Come see us at Early Packet Pick Up for racers at Restoration House Ministries Gleanings Resale Shop (1204 N. Moody) on Friday from 5pm-7pm. Be one of the first 150 racers to do packet pickup to receive a runners bag. Runners receive a shopping discount as well.

• 7am Packet Pick Up and Late Registration open
• 7am Vendors & Food Trucks open
• 7:45am Opening Ceremonies
• *Please arrive no later than 7:45am.*
• 8:00am: Runners/walkers begin
• 8:15am: Obstacle challengers begin
• ~9:30am: Closing Ceremonies

The first 3 finishers in adults (20yr+) and youth (<20yr) racing in each category (5k, 10k, Obstacle 5k, Obstacle 10k) will be awarded and recognized at closing ceremonies.

The path is on and off road and is considered a trail run. Follow this link for a printable map & reminders. Path is accessible by foot year-round and is mowed starting in February. Join us for Path Days on the second Saturday of the month, Jan-Apr, at 9:30am when we’ll drive the path with ATVs.

Workout gloves will help you on the pressure wall and monkey bars. Teammates can also help you complete an obstacle. You can skip an obstacle for 20 burpees. If you can do neither, surrender your bracelet to the obstacle volunteer. You can still complete the race but just will be unable to receive an award.
