FIVE distances to choose from – walk, jog, or run! Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, 3K, and 1K Courses are all linked here at the Routes Button

All distances except the 1K are chip-timed.

Kick off our annual Front Porch Days events!  Funds raised from this race are used to bring free activities to the neighborhood of Plum Creek.

Featuring the Plum Crazy Half with a quirky slide challenge and pickle shot challenge!

 

Plum Creek Half Marathon - Plum Crazy Half - features Kirby Slide Challenge and Pickle Shot Challenge: You have two chances for each challenge. Go down the slide on the first loop or the second loop or BOTH! Same for the pickle shot - take a swig on the first loop or the second loop or both. Your bib will be marked and you'll collect an add on for each of the two challenges for your finisher medal!

NOTE: You are welcome to do this as a virtual race on your own if you are not ready to join the in-person event and you would like to show your support! Log your results by 5/15 at 7:00 a.m.), watch for porch packet pick up info, and know we appreciate your support! Packet pickup for those who do not wish to participate in the in-person event will be porch pickup following the in-person event or shipped if selected. The porch address and times available will be emailed by May 15 to participants, shipped packets will go out the week of May 17.  See bottom of page for how to log results.

Race Day Schedule

05:45 AM - Registration and packet pickup
06:30 AM - Half Marathon
07:00 AM - 10K
07:00 AM - 5K
08:30 AM - 3K
08:30 AM - 1K

 

Packet pickup continues through 8:15 a.m.  Walk up registration closes 15 minutes before start time for each division.

Packet pickup and walk up registration is located at the front of Negley Elementary.

3K/1K begin after last person finishes 10k - most likely 8:30 am.

We will attempt to give awards as each distance finishes!  Please be patient as we will be monitoring the course before making decisions about when we will give awards.  We understand not everyone can stay.  You may pick up your medal before you leave, if you can not stay for the ceremonies.

Entry Fees

Half Marathon is $60
10K is $25
5K is $20 for adults, $15 for 18 and under
3K is $15 for all participants.
1K is $10 for all participants.

Packet Pickup and Walk Up

Early Packet Pickup and walk up registration available at Plum Creek Community Center (450 Haupt), May 14, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Race Day Packet Pick up and walk up registration begins at 5:45 a.m. at Negley Elementary.

Directions

Negley Elementary School at 5940 McNaughton, Kyle Tx.  Plan to park in the lot next to the school, at the Rocking Horse day care next door, along Sampson at the back side of the school, or on side streets.  Please be courteous to the residents of Plum Creek and do not block drive ways or mailboxes.  Do not park on McNaughton as this is part of all five race courses.

Additional Info

All five races start and finish at Negley Elementary. 
We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold. 
Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 3K are chip timed.
No refunds will be given, but you can transfer your bib to another person.

Any changes to distance, subs, corrections to bib label, should be made by the participant at the timing tent on race morning.

All participants 10 and under receive a finisher token.

Yes, you may pick up packets for other people.

NOTE to Half Marathon: Half Marathon course will close at 10:00; participants who expect to take longer than 3 hours need to alert fortheloveofgo@gmail.com; review the map liked above.   Streets will not be closed.  Use caution as you navigate the course.  There are approximately 30 participants.  There will be a bike lead.  Yes, the course is hilly!  Yes, there will be signs, flour on the road, and volunteers.  All half marathon finishers will receive a medal, plus we will do age group awards.

Online registration closes 5/11/2021 at 5:00 p.m.

Must register by May 2 to guarantee your shirt!
