The "Stampede", a 5K run/walk, IS BACK -- The Stampede kicks off a full day of activities associated with "The Western Heritage Weekend" and the Annual San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo, in beautiful downtown San Antonio. You will be in the middle of the action for the yearly Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive, Chuck Wagon Breakfast, great entertainment in the plaza, and the annual Vaquero Cook-Off after the parade. All race proceeds go to the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund. As a participant you/your team will have the opportunity to run/walk through picturesque downtown, as you travel the route of the Western Heritage Parade and Cattle Drive. This run is one of only a few available to runners that actually goes through the middle of downtown San Antonio. Several activities will be taking place prior to and after at the start/finish location and after the parade join the fun at the Market Square. After the Stampede you will be able to watch the Western Heritage Parade.
