Computer or tablet with LASR X installed
Webcam and stable internet connection
SIRT training pistols (or any compatible inert laser trainer)
Printable targets (in this case, USPSA Steel Challenge SC-106 Pendulum)
Tripod or stand to mount targets and hold webcam
Zoom (or similar video conferencing software)
Setup Instructions:
1. Target Setup:
• Print and mount SC-106 Pendulum stage targets on the wall or any safe vertical surface.
• Ensure consistent target distances and spacing for all participants to keep the challenge fair.
2. LASR X Configuration:
• Launch LASR X and calibrate it for your camera and lighting.
• Set up detection zones corresponding to each steel target.
• Configure the shot timer and scoring mode if desired.
3. Zoom Call Setup:
• Start a Zoom call and angle your camera so your shooting area and targets are visible.
• Use gallery view so all participants can monitor each other's runs.
4. Competition Flow:
• Each participant takes turns running the stage.
• Use LASR X to record time, hits, and accuracy.
• Announce results after each round or keep a running tally.
5. Safety Measures:
• Ensure no live firearms or ammunition are in the area.
• Treat the training area with the same respect as a live-fire range.
• Confirm backstop or wall behind targets is safe for laser practice.
