Location: Bandera City Park on South State Hwy 173 by the Medina River. Site of the 2006 and 2007 District 25-AAA Cross Country Meets, the 2008 District 29-AAA Cross Country Meet, the 2009 District 30-AAA Cross Country Meet, 2011 District 26-AAA Cross Country Meet, and 2013 District 27-AAA Cross Country Meet.
Bandera City Park has also previously been the site of Class A district cross country meets 4 times in recent years.
Packet Pick-Up: Beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Bandera City Park
Entry Fees: $10.00 per runner, with a maximum of $400.00 per school. Make checks payable to Bandera High School.
Meet Entries: Schools may run up to 14 runners in the girls 5K and the varsity divisions, with an unlimited number of runners in all junior varsity and junior high races. SINCE THE MEET IS CHIP TIMED, ENTRIES OF ALL RUNNERS IN ALL RACES IN ALL DIVISIONS MUST BE MADE ONLINE THROUGH ATHLETEGUILD.COM. ALSO, BE SURE TO RETURN THE ACCOMPANYING ENRTY FORM BY NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2014.
Meet Results: All races will be chip timed, with results posted online through athleteguild.com.
Running Schedule: 3:45 p.m. – 7th & 8th Grade Girls (2 chutes)
4:15 p.m. – 7th & 8th Grade Boys (2 chutes)
4:45 p.m. – J.V. Girls & Varsity Girls (2 chutes)
5:15 p.m. – J.V. Boys & Varsity Boys (2 chutes)
5:45 p.m. –Open Girls 5K (Depending on the number of entries)
6:30 p.m. – Awards Available
Meet Course: The 2014 Bandera Bulldog Nation Pre-District Cross Country Invitational course will be similar to the 2013 course, which takes most of each race off road. The course is mostly dirt and grass trails, with some paved road. All races are entirely within Bandera City Park. Girl Varsity and Junior Varsity races and all junior high races = 3200 meters, except for the Open Girls 5K. Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity = 5K.
Dressing Facilities: None
Parking: The City of Bandera will provide parking for school buses and vans, as well as all non-school vehicles, outside the park grounds.
Concession Stand: Drinks and Food will be available for purchase at a concession stand sponsored by the Bandera High School Athletic Booster Club and/or Bandera Middle School Athletic Booster Club.
