Join us for the 4th annual NYOS 5K and Kids 1K supporting NYOS Charter School. This is a family friendly event that you won’t want to miss!
The funds raised from this event will support:
- Outdoor School scholarships for 4th and 5th grade students
- Project Graduation for the Class of 2017
- A 2nd grade "Welcome to NYOS" book publishing project
- Youth and Government district and state competitions
- Food services- providing healthy breakfast and lunch choices for Pre-K through 12th grade students

All proceeds from the race will benefit NYOS Charter School PTA. NYOS is a free public charter school serving students in Pre-K through 12th grades across the extended Austin area.

Race Info:
This family-friendly course begins and ends in Pfluger Park. The path follows alongside Gilleland Creek, through greenbelts and parks, with no street crossings.
Kids 1k (begins promptly at 8:00 am) registration is available to children ages 12 and under. The Kids 1k course will be a 0.62 mile trail following along the Pfluger Park Loop section of the race course. Parents are welcome to run with their children and cheer them on as they charge toward the finish line.
5k (begins promptly at 8:30 am) race registration is open to all ages. Participants may run, jog, or walk (strollers are welcome). All 5k registrants will be chip-timed. Timing chips will be attached to the race bib and results will be available following completion of the race. Prizes will be awarded to the top overall and age-group finishers in the chip-timed race.
All registered participants will receive a race bag filled with sponsor goodies, race bib, and cotton t-shirt. Water stops will be provided along the race course. Water and snacks will be provided at the finish line. Restrooms are located at the start/finish area. Age group awards will be provided for first place winners in the chip-timed race.
Prizes will be awarded to top fundraisers.
