The Rising Star Triathlon is great for a first timer and fun for the veterans! The swim course takes place in the beautiful Spring Lake preserve. There are only two races in which outside people are even allowed to swim in this amazing lake. The bike course extends out into the countryside of San Marcos and the run course is a mix between road and trail. The distance is not too long or too short and you'll feel extremely accomplished after completion of the race. Finally, the proceeds from this race will serve as the main source of funding for the Texas State Triathlon Team's yearly race travel expenses.
